Well I've never really liked you, and I wish I never showed you BYOND in the first place, but you have made a few contributions to the community, so if I was in a bad mood I would say "leave", but I'm in a good mood so I say "I don't care"..

Do you need some kind of seal of approval to be here? If you're not here because you want to be, why did you come here in the first place? The thing with the internet is that it's just a bunch of information. When people post on the forums, they're just posting information. It might be good information, it might be bad information. If you don't like the information you see, there's absolutely nothing forcing you to look at it (other than addictions). Keep in mind that BYOND is a program, not a community. There is a community built around BYOND, but BYOND doesn't require that you be part of the community to use it. So, basically, if you don't like being here because you perceive that people don't want you here, don't be here. If you do like it here, stay. If you like BYOND but don't like the people, seperate. I hear Dantom is working on sepperating the programs themselves from the hub and pager, since the original purpose of them was to keep the few BYONDers (when there were only a few) in touch so that people could find someone to play these online games with. Now that BYOND has a large player base, they aren't necessary. It would be easy for you to stay away from BYOND - make a new key, avoid the forums, and simply invite people you want to play with over Instant Messenger. If you want to build RPGs, you can advertise at game sites, or just play them with your friends. So, you do whatever you want. | |
