Ok I give up, I have not asked becuase I know it has been asked before, and I just couldn't remember the answer, I am looking for a program that will convert wavs to midi, I have downloaded programs that say it can do it, and either it can't or I am just to stupid to figure it out. Is there one for dummys? =P

Yea that would be cool to, I have a prog that turns MP3's to wavs and wavs to MP3's, that works pretty well, but I want one for a midi conversion for both formats. If you want that program I have Kunark, just IM me and I'll send it

check out the freeware section at http://www.webattack.com - I remember downloading some decent audio converters from there that did wav to midi and mp3 to midi... but you got to do the searching - it ain't gonna jump out at you...they're in there.

you can also do a search on google.com... most of my audio/video software comes from searches done there...

Gah cant find one... It wont jump out at me, so you think if I keep downloading converters I might get one with mp3 to midi or wav to midi? I saw lots and lots of mp3 to wav and wav to mp3, but the real seach goes on...
I've seen programs that attempt to convert .wavs to midis, but I've never found one that produces anything worth listening to. It's not just a simple matter of formatting... a midi is like a set of sheet music, instructions on when and how to play what instrument. A .wav is just a literal recording of sound. It would take a pretty advanced computer program to look at a recording of sound, figure out "Hmmm, this sounds like this instrument playing here, and here, and here..." and render it as a midi.
