Byond I think was orginally made for RPG, Action type games. But over the years its been growing into new types. I know the board game type is here with LJR's Incursion. Which is a really great game in my point a veiw. Then Ebon the first to make the Stragety type game on Byond with his DrugCraft game. And I also feel more types are to come like the sports which will add a nice little thing to play on byond. I've been planning on making my own new types them being Castle(Stragety), Byondopoly(Board). Which will be coming out with in the next month and a half. I am also going to try and introduce a new type on byond. A Sim!! it will be called Byond Theme Parks(Sim) where people will be able to create and visit other peoples theme parks. Now this might not go as planned and I will have to quit it cause a sim on byond is like a rock with pie they just dont match. But just thought I would point this types thing out to people and how byond is expanding.
P.S. LJR is a great game maker Star Traders, Incursion, Kemet. Dang LJR whats next! hope its as good as the first!

Slight terminology problem: In any other community I would be known as LJR for short, but here there's also a LordJR and he has first dibs on the initials. Actually I think better examples of BYOND board game types would be QuickStep, Bunniflip, and Laser Wars. Which is a really great game in my point a veiw. Thanks. :) Then Ebon the first to make the Stragety type game on Byond with his DrugCraft game. I think some sims are already in the works, and there are other games that I think would definitely count as old-fashioned simulations, like Lexy's Imperial Realms. (To a gamer who grew up in the 80s, that's like nostalgia crack. I heard a rumor that someone's trying to do a M.U.L.E.-type game for BYOND and I was overjoyed.) it will be called Byond Theme Parks(Sim) where people will be able to create and visit other peoples theme parks. BYOND actually will go quite well with simulation games, I think; just not many people have taken that route yet. I'd love to try my hand at an economic sim someday, but I have a sneaking suspicion my next project will be a Roguelike--which may or may not have economic elements to it. P.S. LJR is a great game maker Star Traders, Incursion, Kemet. Dang LJR whats next! hope its as good as the first! Ooogh, you really do have us mixed up, then. LJR = LordJR (at least here), who created Kemet and Star Traders. I'm Lummox JR, and my only BYOND game so far has been Incursion. (Although Incursion wasn't my first project.) Lummox JR |
LJR didn't make incursion... Lummox JR did.
