lol I thought this was an interesting idea, you see games like UO DAOC and such accounts on ebay...

would be kinda interesting to see someone selling their savefile to a BYOND game to someone or something simular...

the day this happens I won't know what to think lol
Characters and items from the game I play, GemStone III, are also sold on Ebay... in fact, there is one man who makes a living of several thousand dollars a month trading this way. It's compelling, yet appalling. It's... compalling.

I've already noted some people trying to trade items for BYONDimes in MLAAS. Does this happen in other games?

Heh yeah, I just needed a purple application since I lost mine to a bug...

A few months back a couple of people were trying to sell 10,000 gold on DWO for 10 dimes until I stopped them. Funny thing was that back then gold was really easy to come by because of a very well known bug...their customers were not very happy when they found out.

I remember someone trying to sell a fully modified tank (back when it took a while to get full mod tanks) in Tanks for 2 dimes, apparently to get a subscription. It makes little sense in a game without save files. :P

Do you reasonably expect any patsies to know that, though? ;-)

Wouldn't be a bad idea for well-established games though...
Maybe you could try selling certain key names...

Ebay:

BYOND Keyname Foomer, prices start at $49 (the amount of dimes he has in his account). Has a reputation for being a stuffy byond programmer who hangs out with Spuzzum on occasion, abuses his admin position in Incursion, and dislikes all sorts of violence. His extensive banlist is also included. Original creator of FoomerMUD and the FoomerMUD Parser, as well as Ensya and a number of other unpublished games.
