Warning - Religion post

I just thought I'd draw the attention of the BYOND community that still bothers to read anything I post about religion to this post on Daylight Atheism, a blog that I read fairly often. I think it provides an interesting contrast between the 'deity of love' modern Christianity presents and the rather nastier deity one can find in the Bible.

That, and it amuses the heck out of me.
That IS quite amusing
Stop talking about religion if you don't belive in god.God forgive you but dont keep trying to make the rest of us non-belivers!

You know where it has "WARNING: Religion post" at the top of it and an obvious title so that people who don't want to read musings from a fairly militant atheist on religion don't have to read it if they don't want to? Yeah.

Furthermore, this is my blog, and I will use it as a soapbox if I so desire. I'm not doing anything immoral or illegal (in Australia).

Finally, this post and the post I linked to weren't actually ranting raves - mine was merely a pointer to something interesting, and the post I'm linking to merely compared a standard piece of Christian writing to Biblical quotes that espouse an entirely different philosophy.

(PS - You're wrong)

On the whole, I figured the blog article lacked a real sense of direction. The random Biblical quotes broke the flow of the original. I'm an atheist and I don't think it came close to convincing me that there isn't a God! (Or that the God is malevolent, etc.)

I think with a different formatting -- perhaps with some creative writing of his own -- he would've had a much better message.

Irrelevent. Your blog is hosted in the same room as Myspace- thus, you must abide by the laws of myspace. That means you have to upload pics of both yourself AND your girlfriend (pref. girlfriend and naked if poss.).
Jp, I'm impressed that you can be an atheist and a Biblical literalist at the same time. Now that's what I call squaring the circle!
