I really love programing and everything about it and I try my hardest to stay motivated with it all the time!!! But for some reason I just cant understand any of it. As soon as I think I got it I just realize dang thats not really much of anything! And realize all of it was a waste of my time... I'v been sitting here for like over 7 hours trying and trying and I'v gained nothing from it... I know nobody really cares so I don't even know why i'm typing this.

You've been sitting there? What have you been doing in the meanwhile? Have you:
- Read Zilal's Beginner Tutorials? - Read the DM Guide? - Read hub://Deadron.StepBYOND and hub://Dantom.YourFirstWorld? - Used the forum search to find solutions given to other users over the years for problems similar to what you're having? If not, I recommend you do so. | |

dont give up, man. these things take time. simple steps is all you need to make an idea into reality.
if you want to make a game first get the guy to move around, then get some npcs to move around, then get obj to interact with, etc. If you expect to do everything at once youll never get anything done. keep at it and youll get it. | |
hmmm, maybe I could help get you on your feet. You should post and tell me what kind of game your trying for and i could help you get it going. Just tell me what you want what you have, and what you cant figure out.
Ive been programming with DM for only a little while i dabbled in visual and tried C but could do it). DM is by far the easiest language im not sure why but you get things done much faster. If you want to learn to program this is where to start. | |
Programming can take years to master... I've been programming around 1 - 2 years now, and I get stuck all the time.
