How do i change the color of a big icon

i made a icon file from a pic its 2336 X 1824. i can't change the color of it. i'm wondering if you can or cn't change the color of it?

Copy and Paste it into Photoshop or Paint. Dream Makers .dmi only allows 32x32 images for animations and whatnot. The huge image would work, however, you cannot edit the image in Dream Maker.
