ok so im mapping and i hav checks by all the types of icons on the layers but it not letting me layer them it wont let me put a tree on grass oractically plz help

Uh... I dont follow to much of what you are asking but im thinking you might be trying to map but the icons are not showing. Did you remember to add in a turf code for all the icon files? aka

turf
    Grass
        icon='nameoffile.dmi'
        icon_state="iftheiconhasanamethisiswhereyouputit"
        name="Grass"

etc press f1 in dream maker an read the turf part for more options that are already coded such as layer density opacity etc.
