Can I use flick() to flick an animated overlay onto an icon? I've tried it, but couldn't get it to work. It's possible that it's impossible. Can anyone tell me?

No, you can't flick an overlay. Overlays are stored as /image objects, and /image objects cannot be flicked. This is something we have been trying to get changed.
