Never tell them to download a ripped source. Though we see the sarcasm (or I very mucht hope it WAS sarcasm), he might not and take your advice.

Dude, NO! Don't go telling someone just to grab ripped source that's useless to them. All he'll do is create another rip, without ever learning anything about how to make his game the right way.

There's nothing useful you can learn from the Zeta source except how not to program.

I'm afraid you're asking all the wrong questions (and in entirely the wrong case--turn off your caps lock please). What you've just asked is basically for people to provide you more or less the entire source code for a game. Of course, little individual pieces of code don't just fit together like Legos, so that's not going to help you.

If you want to make a DBZ game, I suggest the following:

  • Avoid the Zeta source, or the source for any other DBZ game, at all costs. If the idea ever pops into your head to use the source from one of those, staple your hand to the desk or something equally drastic just to remind yourself. The source for those games will teach you nothing but bad habits, and will not be adaptable to your needs. Therefore you must treat outside source code as if it does not exist.
  • Forget about any ready-made code like attacks or an equipment system to include in your game. There isn't any. Unless you're searching among the legitimate demos published in the DM.Demos channel (see the Demos link on the left), then at best you'll find some badly written demos with code you can't fit to your game. Searching the forums may turn up some interesting nuggets, but be sure you trust mostly just the code from reputable sources. Stick just to DM.Demos here.
  • If you haven't already, go to the DM Guide (the link to the left) and read some tutorials.
  • Look at some of the libraries published in DM.Libraries (the Libraries link on the left) for things like admin systems or character handling that you can plug right in. These are ready-made code, designed for you to easily use, and the ones you find there should be trustworthy.
  • Post to the forums when you get stuck. Remember, though, if you start with ripped code you won't get any serious help on the forums. So if you forget that first piece of advice above, pull the stapler back out and give it a double tap this time.

I think this is too good to be true.
Err.... DM Guide + Tutorials = just what you want.

sarcasm yes, i know the source is crap as a well theres no words to describe it at all but every day i see more and more people asking for picture, codes, hosts, icons, for Zeta rips why not tell him to download the source hes proberley already got it on his computer i think 80% of byond does. I think we should bash up Raekwon him and Kapperkyle never gave the Dragon Ball Gt Game away that they made did they? if so bash up KapperKyle im not sure if i spelt his key right lol
