I know zeta is bad and all, and i dl'ed some stuff if you could lend me some gm codes, map codes, and gimme a guide to icon ripping correctly that would benefit me pefectly. Its kiinda hard at 12 to learn Dm. plz dont laugh.

I began learning at late 11 years old. It's not hard to learn DM, it just takes time. However, icon ripping is not something promoted, there technically are no "map codes" and GM systems can vary. A good place to start is the DM Guide.

I began learning about 3 years ago, at the age or 10, or 11... Don't remember, but anyways, I didn't learn like most people did. I downloaded libs and demos, and studied them. When I didn't understand something I used F1(Help) and read the description.

I would be surprised if that isn't how most people learned. Anyway to be on topic, DM is not all that hard. Yes it can be a confusing battle, but it can be won. I was 11 when I joined BYOND (to create, anyway). It's more of having the will and determination to apply yourself to the language. DragonFlare's method of learning is a great way. Try downloading the demos and tutorials and study them. When you hit a hard spot, come here. Anyway have a good time with DM. :D

As for me, when I started learning programming, I created (well.. stole) a Zeta-rip.. :|. Even though the Zeta source has very much abuse, I did learn how to program.. I didn't realise all the abuse I learned.. Many people tried to encourage me not to use the Zeta source by telling that itsource has alot of abuse,and all it's other bad parts, but I was to stubborn.. All I cared was that the game was playable & enjoyable. But then I tried to help several people out here on the developer forums.. Wich I did.. but I got way to much corrections and complaints about my way about programming.. Then I started to realise what I was doing..
Whoops, I've said to much.. Master rla - I strongly recommend you you not to use the zeta source for your game. You have to be aware of all the abuse in it.. Just learn DM on the right way by clicking one of the links over to your right. :) I recommend you to do the ZBT tutorial Its kiinda hard at 12 to learn Dm. plz dont laugh. There are many great resources in the developer sites which are designed for newbies who want to learn DM. I know it might be hard, since I remember when I was also trying to learn DM three years ago.
I suggest you read the DM Guide and some Tutorials. These resources will help you learn DM. If you take the effort to learn, you will do fine.
If you have any questions on specific things you have trouble on doing, you can post help on these forums. Just remember that nobody will actually program your game for you.
