I used to be able to host when I used my dad's computer, and this is essentially the same computer, as it's Wirelessly networked to his...

This problem is occurring because the computer you are using has a firewall. Simply turn it off and you are all set to go.

This post didn't belong in BYOND Bugs because it's not a bug. The fact that you can't host on one computer has everything to do with the way your computer is set up, not a flaw in BYOND.

Here's the interesting part... My firewall was turned off throughout the whole process. It may be to do with my wireless router, though...

You have to forward a port on your router.
Varies a bit for each router, but basically, get to the administrator page by typing in the router IP address (found in the manual) and look for Port Forwarding or Virtual Server or something like that. |
