Using "--" with Z-levels...

It just takes you to loc 0,0,0.
I'm using it like so
M.loc = locate(M.x,M.y,M.z--)

How would I go about making it work?

M.loc=locate(M.x,M.y,M.z-1) will definitely take you to the previous z level. For nothing whatsoever to happen, the code couldn't actually be using that line, or M.loc would already be null.
