I can't figure out how to get to it.
What type of router is it? Well, look at your internal IP (CMD PROMPT > IPCONFIG, THE IP LISTED). Take the number 192.168.*.*, and type in 192.168.*.1 in your browser, where * is the missing number you find, there you go, you have access to your router's control panel.

it won't let me log in. I tried typing admin but it doesn't work.

Are you the admin of the router?

401 Authorization Required
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access. Either you supplied the wrong credentials(e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.

My question is, are you the admin of the router? If not, then the admin probably changed the password to keep other people from changing settings.
In response to Lenox
I don't know if i'm admin or not. Is there anyway to access the admin password?

Gah, you still haven't answered my question..
Are you the one who bought the router? Are you the one who set the password? Are you the one who changes the settings when needed? If you fit none of the above, or just one of the above(the first one), then you are not the system admin and need to get the system admin to enter his/her password for you.

Lenox = correct.

Here are two other possiblities if you can't get the administrator to enter the password for you:

2. If there's a chance it might still be set to the default password, check your router manual (if you lost it, search Google for your router's model number) for the default username/password combination, and try that.

3. Or you can reset the router; there's usually a recessed button somewhere on the casing. You may need to use a pin or something to press it. Be warned, though; this will wipe ALL your router settings back to factory defaults. You probably don't want to do that.
