Ive been working on a .DMI Format Research paper for about 8 days now and I have gotten stuck and am hoping some one can give me a hand. If you do solve the problem you will be added to the Acknowledgements section.
The problem is in a section I'm work on about the color index. I was adding colors to a .dmi file and then studying the color encoding it gave. When just having one color it is 01 or 1 for a Ce. Then having another color right by that one changes the Ce to 09 or 9. Then having a third color by that one changes the Ce to 39 or 57. Then having a fourth color by that one changes the Ce to D1 08 or 2136.
The values of these differences from the next one is 8,48,2079. But seeings how I could be wrong and mis calculated them I would encourage you to check my results your self with a hex editor.
Any who what I need help in is finding the formula that gets these values. Usually in all .dmi values I've found there is some kind of formula that can be put in to get them. But a formula for this one just stumps me. Please I need help and will have to leave this color index section out of my research paper if I dont get the formula. O.o how many icons can you make with one color O.o :) not many I bet.
I say again please help me finish this section of my .dmi research paper, and thanks to any who answer this post.
Ps. I might not release my research paper to the public depending on what Dan Tom feels about it.

Details on the .dmi format have already been posted. Do a forum search. I all ready new this having posted on that post. Your even the one who posted the .dmi format on the forum. Though no information was given about the color encoding except how to figure out its length in bytes. That is what my research paper is on. |
