There are lots of guys around here who are known and have programming skills but just don't really have a lot of accomplishments yet. I would group myself in this catagory, though TextMUD makes me more fortunate then some of the others I'd stick here.
My goal is for this to be a support thread for people that are stuck on their projects -- hopefully, we can advertise our works and get some help developing them and getting the inspiration to really get some good games out into the BYOND community. There's a LOT of good work sitting around, and it would be a real blessing to BYOND and BYONDers to take these programs out, dust them off, and get them to work!
I'm stuck on parts of my TextMUD 2.5 project -- I'd like a guru like Nadrew or Gughunter with experience with BYOND GCI to show me the ropes of this mostly undocumented part of BYOND. Thanks!

Well i made TBG, which is very unseen, but very nice with many usfull features. Also i want help with CGI and setting up a server with BYOND cgi. Also Z, could you release the source for your CGI poll, it would help a lot.

Wow, the dust had dust on this thing! It's not dead, just in an inactive state. I still plan out systems, but most of the stuff I plan out I can not program. :( I reached my coding peak about 6 months ago and I don't think I'm going to be any better. Any of you guys had this problem? |

Pretty basic, if you have any questions, email me. You should know the address :) Enjoy! |
I know and I can quite admittedly say that EoE is going to need a helping hand, although still on the point I am not one of these Cool BYONDers that you speak of :P
--Lee [Edit]: PS; If you don't yet know of EoE or have not yet tried it out, go see it: http://www.byond.com/hub/Mellifluous/EoE |
Heh -- I still feel guilty because I didn't help with the early versions of TextMUD! I looked at it, but I get confused easily...
Unfortunately, I don't know much about BYOND CGI. BYONDscape recently got a great overhaul to make it mostly CGI-based, but I didn't do anything except watch Tom and Ebon and say "Good job, guys." Off the top of my head, here are the people I can think of who seem to know something about it:
Ebonshadow
Zilal
Lummox JR
Deadron
Tom
Dan
Nadrew
That's not an exhaustive list, of course -- it's just the people I can think of in my tired state. I think Deadron is planning to release some source code that uses the CGI functionality eventually, but he (like me) is real busy with work right now.
