It would be fantastic to have a way to unpack the resource files for the game directly to the BYOND cache when using the standalone installer.
Now, for Steam I think this would need to be handled a bit differently, since they have their own installer scheme, where you upload the contents of the output folder, not the installer itself, so a solution independent of the actual Installer would be ideal, possibly tied to the first run of the exe file itself.
This feature would allow users to skip the "Downloading Resources" screen on their first time running the game, which for a larger game (100MB+) would be grand, since it already downloads the resources from Steam, then has to load them all in a second time from the server when they connect.

I'm getting increasing reports from steam users that seem to be the result of cache or other related rsc issues. Relogging to the game seems to resolve these, so I'd be very happy to see this implemented in the near future! :)
