Ok, i dont haev an answer to ur icon question but i do know where u could go to make it so u can choose certain people when u login. Download Vortezz's "Class Selection " demo.

Yeah, that's a real good one.

Also, look up input(), and switch().

Good luck!

You may wish to reconsider making it a Final Fantasy game. Squaresoft is very protective of their copyrights and will shut you down the moment they find out about it.

Good luck!

If you make a game using SquareSoft's art/ideas, yes you are in direct copyright violation.

NOW, if you charge $ for your game, and it does well, Square might come after you, take the $ you made, and force you to stop distribution of the game.

BUT, if you freely distribute your game - then you have made no $ off of it. The $ damages to SquareSoft would be zero or close to zero. Squaresoft *might* spend the time and money to go after you, but the worst they can do is force you to stop distributing the game. (unless they decide to be pricks and take you to court, claiming that your game took sales away from the Final Fantasy franchise - yeah, it might be a stretch and they probably wouldn't get a dime - but you'd still have to pay a lawyer to goto court!)

good luck!

Square shut down a free PBEM Final Fantasy game made by an aquaintance of mine a couple years ago. I didn't get many details from him, since I never heard from him after they shut down his website. A mysterious coincidence?

Thanx you guys for warning me about copyright and all of that jazz, but I'll be fine, if they shut me down, they'll have to shut down EVERY FF game, it'll be just like Napster, Heh, maybe they'll put me on T.V. :) but still, i need to get some character sets for my game, ive found a few characters, but only from screen shots, if anyone knows of a good place to find some, it would be appreciated thanx.
