Side Project

Since dungeon is nearly finished I'm looking into pursuing a side project that I think would be very interesting. I'm thinking of making a 4.0 D&D edition online. With combat that is turn based and perfectly mimics that of fourth edition. I know it sounds like a strech, but if executed well, do you think it would be an entertaining game?

anythign with wizards knights and dragons has to be somewhat fun. I've myself have never played D&D but have heard about it. I think this would be interesting to play.
would it be a one time play through or have saved files?
anywho i still think a D&D game on byond would be fun.
