So, what happened is I know this guy and he got this guy to code, map, icon, host and everything for his game. All he did was make the forum. Now, should he have made this game with one person working on the game? Because techniquely he's giving the game to the person who's doing all the work since he has all the control of the game.

Technically since he didn't code, map, icon or host the game, its not his game.

Don't forget that mapping/programming/pixel drawing(because "iconing" is not a word!) aren't the only parts of game making. He may design the game, manage the game(you'd be surprised how important that is in professional teams), direct the game... You get the idea.

If the guy doesn't do anything at all to help the game(even if it's just paying his employees), then yes, I won't consider the game his.

That's not really good a joke.
