That's definitely an improvement. Try making the font bold and removing the scrollbars (I think browse() has an option to do this).
|
Make sure the font you're using is available on most PCs, otherwise I believe it will default to something lame.

A very common occurrence in many multiplayer games, power creep is when the "power" of items/monsters/etc. increases to continue challenging the player base. Basically, once a player has tons of money, armor, weapons, etc. the game is no longer challenging. So tougher opponents are added. But then other players can't defeat them, so better equipment is added too. Some players acquire all the best items and the situation repeates as nauseum.

Kaioken first of all I decided that I won't be using the Ultima Graphics, that being said I am going to compile the graphics and release them, along with the Martian Dreams and Savage empire tiles.
Second of all, to try and stop the concept of power creeping, there won't be a ton of equipment. There is going to be a limited line of equipment, with the occasional chance to find some of it magically enhanced with charges on it. |
Meh. It is what it is. I really think people exagerrate this sometimes. Do some graphics get recycled? Yes. So what?
If it's a decent game, I would probably rather see the U6 graphics used than DBZ graphics, for example. Plus, I would really like to see an Ultima-like :-) |
Yeah and I agree and I actually really do want to do an Ultima Like. But one that gives it justice. Which isn't what Hack N' Slash is about. Ultima 6 had so much freedom in it and if someone did an Ultima like, that is what I'd like to see.
No I decided to go with RM95 graphics, mainly because, it is easier to use overlay effects with the player sprites. I wanted to add a certain level of customization to the players so they can try and look individual. |
Well, I wasn't serious about the "tons of games" etc parts, of course.
Also, it'd be funny to see rips actually trying to implement these graphics. >_> |
Actually no, Script is a pretty standard font, you would have to have a pretty outdated OS not to have it. That being said, I don't have any place to host the files for people to download, so until I do, I don't be able to give the tiles out.
