Flame Sage

I really want to clone Dragon Warrior 3.
Would anyone play it if I made it exactly like Dragon Warrior 3 for the NES, but with alot of new features.

I am currently in development, but after looking at all of the other Dragon Warrior games out there, I have been looking for something new.

Would you guys rather play..
A) An original clone of Dragon Warrior 3
B) One with a tactical battle system.

Would you rather play something that's close to the series, or one that veers away from traditional, but adds a twist?

Flame Sage	I'm going to put in my personal vote, and say a clone. I just don't know if it's going to get the same kind of hype as DWO even if I did it as a PERFECT clone (which I'm hoping for.)

System-wise, clone it.
Storyline-wise though, make it original.

Xx Dark Wizard xX	most likely not because dwo was the first on byond, a bunch of people on forums or read sites came to it, DW on byond is like old, but they are my favorite games to play, btw page me I can get you a picture of the whole worldmap.

Gumshoe	If you google image search 'dragon warrior iii world map', it gives you the picture first result.

Flame Sage	Yeah, I have a WORLD MAP editor, so getting world map sprites should be easy. If anyone wants to join testing for the game, I'm going to select 10 people that are on OFTEN and want to play the game when it turns beta. AIM; chris062689

Bones the Great

dragon warrior is the best freakin game ever. Not true, but still it was very cool. I think a tactical system would be cooler. Don't make an exact copy, with tiny medals and such... That would be dumb. Try making a game similar to dragon warrior, use more original classes, you own judgement on stats for each class and such. That would be better in my opinion but as we say up here in the north... It's your game, make it cool to you and you'll have your best ideas. Well not many people in the north say that. Sorry I lied. I'm one of two... Yeah... One of my hobbies is rammbling on about myself while trying to help other people. I really need to stop doing that. Especially in forums. Seriously, I have the worst habbit of doing that. Like this one time when I was on neoseeker, I posted a comment to someone's RPGMaker XP game. It went over the character limit. It was about this one time that I had written this eight page letter to the company. I never sent that letter come to think of it. OMFG I did it again. Remind me to send that letter BTW.
