So, I got bored and came up with an idea for an RTS type-game.
So, you'd be ant trying to build an ant empire to defeat the other ant empire. Sound generic? Kind of.
Every card will cost supply points, except a few cards (like cards which give you extra supply points ;p). The main goal is to run the other ant into the ground. You can make your base bigger with cards, and add walls around with cards. The walls are just extra defense against the other ants. You can get cards such as "Miner Ant", which will affect you for every turn that it is in play (that's right, they can get destroyed by fire ants!) by granting you one extra supply point per turn. So, if you use a card such as "Archer Ant", it only works once. It well give you a selection on what to attack, like a wall, a miner, or go for a direct hit on the base (with walls, you'll more than likely miss (wallsx10% chance to miss)). :/ This is most of what I can think of, you can only have 5 cards max in your hand at once, discarding cards is basically giving up your turn...and, yeah. It'll sound better when it's released.
[edit]The game will also be in text mode unless you guys don't mind cheesy graphics.

Like I said plenty of times before: I would'nt have thought of it. Seems like a pretty good idea so far, can't wait to see it out.

Sounds much fun :)
this reminds me somehow of a game named "Ballerburg" where you and your opponent own a castle and every turn shoot with cannons at the enermy's castle and earn gold through workers. Those have to be satisfied with luxury, food and stuff.. and with the gold you can pay research for better cannons or better aim and you can buy more cannons or a mining tower which produces additional gold or walls to protect your castle and so on.. |
