Side States

im just wondering what techniques do you people use to make your side states for icons (is there any technique at all or is it all just thought up in your head) thing is whenever i try to do them i always make them the wrong size its the only part of icon making i cant do!!!

Well, I just don't use them. Works best for me! :P

(Although it probably doesn't help you much. Not ALL games have to have sprites with side states.)

I generally copy the front view, and then edit the copy to create the side view...

That way, you can see how tall everything needs to be to match up with the front view...
