Today, I tryed someone's fan game based on Yu-Gi-Oh, and it was terrible. Everything about it was inaccurate except for the card names and characters.

If you are planing to make a game based on this show/game, please make it correctly.
-Use everything in the rule book.
-Make sure you have most of the cards ready before release.
--Including effects and the such
-Remember you need a 40+ deck of cards to play.
--No more than 3 of each card.
---Also remember the restricted list.

Here are some sites that will help you make a correct and entertaining game.

This game I have tried is really terrible, and I do not wish to release the name of it or the owner for respectful purposes.

This is my 2 cents for the evening.

You do realize if someone is making the game off the show, then that means they don't have to follow the rule guides in the real life card game, right?

Well, I would hope they would make one off of the game.
The show really has no orginization or strict rules to play, and if someone was to make a game of this it could be won quickly and without strategy.

But I was directing more towards the card game, If you are making games of the show, then you can cut a few of those rules out.

My completion to the statement "To all of you making a Yu-Gi-Oh fan game" would be "...make your own darned game and leave cheesy marketting schemes at the door". =P

Either that, or this comment: "Inspired by Yu-Gi-Oh, yes. Derived from Yu-Gi-Oh, heck no."
