I know grr DB and DBZ grrr lol. But why not have 2 seprate sections of the game one DB and one DBZ. So like you play in dragon ball as a little kid and get strong. Go around and buy cloads I dont know. Then when u age and get older you can carry your self as kid into the DBZ stage were u are a little stronger. Just an Idea.

Are you kidding me? Apparently not. Your wise remarks aren't necessary. Take this into consideration before hitting "post" next time. |

I still can't see how someone could make a game based on anything "Dragonball". The fighting idea is even a worthless effort.
It would be impossible to capture the combat anyway no matter what it is. From what I've seen on the show, you would need a combat system where you would have to think as quick as the guy attacking you, countering everything exactly and trying to figure out what they are doing out of an unlimited array of fighting techniques. Dragonball is a great idea... for a show and comic book, but not for a 16 bit videogame. How would you go about capturing the drama and feelings within the game? the chances you could get a group that are that "RP Talented" is one out of 999 Billion. If you made anything that couldnt capture the fighting and/or reality of the show; it seems it wouldn't really be a fan game, or at least not a correctly made one. If you really wish to make a game based on a good anime, Outlaw Star would be great, there is very little developed storyline and it all revolves around a very simple but well drawn-out system of combat. One of these would be much more entertaining to play than an incorrectly made Dragonball game. Dont get me wrong, I dont mind Dragonball nor do I mind Dragonball related games, but if you are trying to achieve a correctly made fan-game it probably wont happen. Im not trying to offend anyone but I always thought fan-games were attempts to make a replica of someone else's original ideas, or something close to that, and it seems everyone is doing it all wrong.
