Just a thought I had while looking at my clock icon. Why not adjust the icons so it looks like the hand moves every so often. Maybe you could match the icon with the current time in game. So then they can tell the time just by looking at the icon. Sound cool?
I thought of making a demo of this real quick but I think its easy enough not to need a demo.

I've been working on both an analog clock and a digital clock; an analog clock is moderately difficult, a digital clock is extremely simple.

How come the analog is difficult? Couldnt you just turn the hands icon?

Well for analog I was going to tell you to have two overlays one the minute hand the other for hours. Then for the minute just turn it 6 degrees every minute. But when I just tested it it didn't work so well. But with this idea you would turn the hour hand every 12 minutes. I dont know hope you figure this one out. |

I think the difficult part is telling it when to turn the hands. I have something sort of like this in my rpg, but its a timer. Canar

The difficult part is fitting the hands -- and still providing an accurate reading -- in a small space. To be a realistic clock, it can't occupy all 32x32 pixels.
