You should use other ways to do it, otherwise each time you banned a GM(for abuse and the such), you would need to update the source code and re-host, because the GM can keep logging in to shutdown the server.

Which isn't really that needed, isn't it? You shouldn't really care about a ban if it's never activated, though I see the point but IMO it isn't worth an extra always-running loop.
You still need to override IsBanned() to actually let a GM login (you'll probably want that at any case), anyway, so might as well ditch the loop and do your stuff there.
