All too often, whilist playing LRS, I die because I get disconnected during the game. By the time it tells me 'Connection Falied...,' it is too late to reconnect. If during LRs you get disconnected, the game waits 30 seconds for you to reconnect. It seems that 30 seconds should be long enough to tell me I no longer have a connection. I used to get disconnected on dial-up and make it back in time. Now I have DSL, and I can't ever make it back in time, and I'm only disconnected for a second.
So, my queestion is; could we get a faster 'Connection Falied...' message, or maybe an auto-reconnect?

The reason for this is likely due to a firewall: when the server probes your connection, your firewall blocks the packets. Thus, the server disconnects you. However, it doesn't (and can't) inform the client of this, so the client periodically pings the server to see if the server is still online. The server, still online, says "yes", so the client assumes it's still connected.
I imagine the same applies here.
