Can remove those cluttered up multi-threaded posts and makes it easier to find stuff. Sorry for the bad quality. My monitor is 1680x1050
You could just change your forum preferences to topic view.

That makes it more ugly in terms that each topic is below the next one

They're ugly. This style fits with BYOND's style much more than those.
Yeah, that's not going to happen. The tree structure of the BYOND forums are a powerful way of displaying information, like who is responding to who, and how active a forum post is. It is a little strange to people used to phpBB style forums, but that doesn't mean that BYOND's way isn't better.

On the other hand, it wouldn't hurt to supplement BYOND's Topic View forum setup with some additional information, like how many posts there are on the thread.

No doubt, enhancing an existing feature is fine, but the tree structure is great, and it seems to me that the topic view is more of a crutch for people used to another style of forum.

Also, it might be possible with a little work to get a greasemonkey script(a firefox extension that allows you to run javascript automatically on a page) that will do the job.

I typically use Topic View because it vastly decreases the amount of time it takes to read the posts on an entire thread.

However, when sharing post links, I always make sure to append "&single=1".
PHPBB forums suck. I hope BYOND's admins never get enough head trauma to think otherwise.

Its just an example it can be any forum you want. I just found a example of what display they could make there forum into. Also, it doesnt have to be php.

I think in topic view a In reply to _____
on top of every reply would be nice
so you can still keep a conversation somewhat understandable
