One of the most common solutions to problems on BYOND Help is removing the cache for DS. However, last I knew there was at least 3 places that the cache could be stored, two of which are locked away in folders that are hard to explain to people to get to. I've had DS ask me if I wanted to clear the cache in the past, but it doesn't seem to be doing it for most people when they are having troubles, so I would love to see a really easy way to clear the cache.

Like, for example, a button in the preferences menu for the pager, that way DS never has to launch, thus no chance of it freezing up before it can request to clear cache.
Yeah. Like you could go to File >> Clear Cache on the pager, and it would clear your cache. That would also be useful just for normal computer maintenance.
I'd like to revisit this. It seems to have got barried under a few big requests rather quickly, so I'm shooting it into the public eye again.

As I said, one of the most common help requests in BYOND Help gets cleared up by a cache clearing. Now this might be a good thing to look into for other reasons(why is the cache crashing DS so much), but a temporary solution would be great too. If you guys don't add a easier to access temp clearing feature, I'll have create a batch file to do the job.

Also, a small addon feature request would be a list of all the possible places the BYOND user data folder might be stored. Over the years I can think of at least 3 places the BYOND user data has been, and with the variants of Windows OSs there are at least 7. Problem is, at least as I have seen it, BYOND will use the old locations if they are there, meaning that for many people some of these old locations are still valid.
