Just like with all the other posts on this issue, my launcher gets stuck on the "Loading live games from BYOND hub..." message, but I actually can't get it to work no matter how much fixes from other threads I try.

General Info:
  • Windows 7 SP1 64-bit.
  • Internet Explorer 11, latest version I could find (11.0.9600.17843).
  • No antivirus, no extra software that could cause this issue (the only two things active are bluetooth and Realtek HD Audio which was installed by default.
  • Firewall disabled completely.
  • Windows User name: "Rufus". No extra characters. No cyrillic.
  • Windows Locale: English (United States)

Tell me if there's anything else I've missed.

What I've tried:
  • Checking permissions to Documents folder. User has full access.
  • Removing Read-Only flag.
  • Running as Administrator.
  • Reinstalling.
  • Renaming cfg folder to cfg.old.
  • Reinstalling to a different location (C:\Program Files,C:\Games,C:\Users\Rufus\Games)
  • Changing BYOND Data folder location via registry (userpath) to C:\Games\ByondData,C:\Users\Rufus\Games\ByondData

Probably important:
Netstat when BYOND is trying to start. No connection to byond.com in list, even with -f flag. Manually checked ip adresses from list, none of them are related to byond.

Will gladly provide any additional info as well as try to get any debug info for you. Would try windbg, but couldn't figure out where to get a working version (without 1GB SDK) for windows 7.

Thanks.
What does Process Monitor say happens during startup? It must be running into a problem somewhere.
I believe this is a proper format for Process Monitor log.

Didn't look too much into it, but it might be an IE issue from what I saw. I'll try reinstalling.

Tell me if you find anything else helpful in there.
So, reinstalling didn't solve the issue.
However, downgrading to IE8 did. That partially solves my problem as at least I can login and play games now.
IE8, though, breaks some in-game features that are really helpful. These features work when IE11 is installed, tested it on another PC.
Is there any way to figure out what causes BYOND to get stuck with IE11 on my current machine?
Since downgrading to IE8 solved the issue, perhaps reinstalling IE11 would work? The problem appears to be with something in iE11's install.
Hmmm... maybe you're right. I'll re-upgrade it back after I finish this round. Was too happy to finally get playing, so jumped into a live game immediately :)
I'll get back with the results in about an hour.
Thanks for your help!
