There are exactly two outstanding issues with DS using WINE. One being the browser tab crashing DS, and the other being images in the rich controls.
I request a togglable option to turn rich images off client side. This way we Linux users can use DS in a nearly 100% stable state. I would rather cut one small feature than be forced to use the normal Linux client.
This may not be as easy as it sounds, but I would love to see it.

Second! :)Hopefully not as bad with OpenGL. |
From what I have saw so-far, OpenGL can cause problems in WINE. I've played around with a version of DS with OpenGL and it has caused my machine, at least, quite a bit of problems. Fortunately it is supposed to be togglable because some Windows systems might not be capable of running it correctly. Blit-Bit, or whatever it is called, works fine in WINE. A little slow, perhaps, but fully functional.

This would be a great feature.
(NOTE: But by the time 4.0 comes out, BYOND might break again with WINE)
