I meant how big many pixels the art panel could have, like right now it can have 32 pixels by 32 pixels. Doubling that would make my life so much easier, since I suck at linking together icons when they get split up Xx

There won't be a hard coded limit to the library, though if you use an image larger than 192x192 it will have to use the SYNC_STEPS animation setting for multi-tiled atoms. We're looking into the SYNC_STEPS system in the client to see if we can improve that.
