new ASCII character

I think BYOND should be able to use that little smiley face ASCI character. I don't like looking at a Q or an O.

Exactly which character are you talking about? Now, whats wrong with looking at Q's or O's? There are a lot of words that have an 'O' in them and plenty that have a 'Q'-Like Quiet, Quite, Quilt, Quintuplet, etc.

There are two smiely face characters in the ASCII codes. BYOND doesn't support them, so people use Q's and O's for characters in text games, and I would prefer looking at the smiley faces instead.

Byond needs to support more charater mappings like New Courriour. That would be pimp.

As it currently stands, I dont like using Text mode, because there are charaters I cant use. Damn it.

The programmer of the game can do that on his own. After all, something similar is done is Chatters.

If you mean drawing the smily face yourself, that defeats the whole purpose of using Text mode. eg, no icon files to download and a faster running game.
