FLOOD could be used as the "DMI file editor's" flood button.
FILL would fill the entire map with the selected turf/object/whatnot.

Yep, both of those have been requested before. Map editor perks aren't really a priority for the time being, however... stability and language features are a little more important at the moment.
In case you didn't know about the interim solution, you can achieve a workaround Fill by doing these steps: 1) Select the object you want to paint onto the map in the object list. 2) Click the Select tool. 3) Click the lower left corner of the map. 4) Hold Shift and click the upper right corner of the map. 5) Right-click on the map, and choose Replace [turf]. |
