It'd be an nice addition.
We already have TEXT, BROWSER, PAGER, and HUB.
How about putting an "PLAYER" next to it?
The job of the player would be to handle MID, AND MP3 files.
Any MID/MP3 sent will be handled by the player.
It'd act just like Windows Media Player or any other media player. It'd have an stop button, etc. etc.
Opinionally, if "client/playerlist" is pointed towards an list, it'll actively use that list so the player can skip through songs.
We could play MIDs and MP3s, and all be happy!
How about it?!

That's dumb. If anything, just have a DreamPlayer, which is also dumb. You shouldn't control what you're listening to in a game, it should correspond with the momment in time, an action, a place. You either listen to it, or you don't. If you don't, you have the option of opening up another program to listen to.

You don't choose what to play! There's an possibility to choose if the game developer allows you to do so (by making an list of possible selections and then assigning the list to an client variable).
You can however STOP the music if you like [you can already, but it stops WAVs too]. |

Because WinAmp is an seperate program, and if I order an MP3 to be played, it either asks for user permission, or it simply doesn't play because there's no build-in player.
Just make it so we can play MP3s.. |

It'd be an nice addition. This is completely bogus. Media players are one of the worst built-in features of file sharing programs. Why should this be built in? All it would do is bloat BYOND for no reason. Lummox JR |
