Kunark's List:
-A Fix for the damn compiler bug. -Graphically enhanced... A way to make icons work in sync without having to make 40 different states in a, say, sword underlay/overlay (Allow it to move with the person's hand by doing something in the person's icon instead.)... Better handling of pixel movement... If a mob is more tiles than normal in a larger than 32x32 file, actually make it a little easier to handle it correctly. -A Fix for the damn compiler bug. -Lag control by making some things client-side. -A Fix for the savefile-list saving bug. -A Fix for the damn compiler bug. -A Find/Replace for DM for text selections. -A multi-line Find/Replace. (This may not be practicle, though if it could happen somehow, it would be very nice.). -A Fix for the many graphics bugs I am constantly encountering when making special effects especially. -An incorperation of being able to have multiple programs (.dmbs) within a game, and run them when needed. -Fullscreen -Multiple client screens within a window. -Much more custom alerts/inputs. -Text on-screen done with BYOND, making it a lot less laggy. -One more thing... That damn compiler bug has been punching me in the face for about a year and a half, and I seriosly hate it more than Math Class! And that's a lot of malice! I hope to god it gets fixed! |

It's just not worth it where there easily could be an option to have it automatically reboot. |
The ability to "flash", that is, to make a BYOND game window which is on the taskbar blink blue (like is used in Instant Messengers) from within the game. That way, if you are waiting for someone's turn, for example, you can minimize it and surf or write or whatever and it would blink when its your turn. I would love this function.

I would love to have the ability to publicize a game/your presence within the game while not accepting pager messages from anybody/everybody.

I like BYOND basically the way it is. But I wouldn't mind:
Full-Screen Support Various nifty developer tools [More things like goto line, Advanced find replace, these are nice =)] Like splats said, a flashing proc type thing. Well, I'm pretty content with BYOND right now. I've never really encountered any bugs. <-Airjoe-> |

Maybe I'm just not understanding, but the advanced find does have a "replace with" and "replace all"

Look at this, this is all in 1 file:
Susan said to Pat, that peter piper picked a pickled pepper. But Luis said to Susan, that peter picked an embalmed pepper. Say I wanted to replace Susan with Norm, but I don't want to on the first phrase. So, I would select this: But Luis said to Susan, that peter picked an embalmed pepper. And do a find/replace on that, so it would change 1 area, but not another. |

That is a very good idea. There isn't much else you can really do to .wavs with the current things out there though, so I'm not sure how much better it would be than the sound recorder included in windows. If they doa .mid one, then I would have wasted my money on Music Masterworks :P

Use advanced find/replace [Ctrl+H] type in what you want to find, and what you want to replace it with, and click find next untill you find what you want, and click replace with.

That's still not what you're looking for, replace selection will allow you to replace multiple instances of a word in a selection instead of one, making it much easier.

Nah, I think that's a little too out of step with BYOND.
Look at it this way: BYOND can use PNGs, but you can't create them using the icon editor. Likewise for WAVs and MIDI. I say leave the MIDI making programs to the pros -- not saying that Dantom couldn't do it, but saying that they aren't the professionals when it comes to making MIDI software. |

There are lots of programs for audio out there, it might be convenient for Dream Maker to have something built in, but if you really wanted anything great you'd be better off with a third-party program. |

There is a replace all. When you say multiple selections, do you mean you find each one, check the ones you want, and then click replace checked, or something? I think the current Find/Replace is fine.....
When you click replace now, it goes right to the next one. if you don't like the next one, click find next. |

No, say you have:
"Bob and Bill went to Bob's house." And selected the whole sentence, and wanted to replace "Bob" with "Rob", it would find both instances of "Bob" and replace them without you having to go through all instances and replace them manually, the end result would be: "Rob and Bill went to Rob's house." This not only saves time, but is far more accurate than the current methods. |

They aren't the professionals when it comes to imaging either, just look at the .dmi format =P (don't worry, I'm not that thick, I understand your point). I'm not talking about a full blown sound studio or anything, just a simple to use keyboard, with some effects and tempo control. (Probably nothing more then the composer on most Nokia mobile phones) I just think that it would help round off the BYOND package. |

i only want 1 thing on byond............. I belive in BYOND v4.0 the pager is moving out of Dream Seeker and into a seperate program. So yeah, that's done. plus i would like to see a type of money system put in that doesnt work with real money.......the BYONDDimes are disappearing fast and i think there should be a different money system put i nthat not real money, possibly u can get them by helping out and contributing in a major way to BYOND or get them as a rare reward i ngames or something........i dunno waht do u all think? BYONDdimes where a failed experiment. The issues that got the experiment shut down were to do with them being worth 1US$, but also about the greed they inspired. If they were worthless we would have still had people ready to punch their own mother in the face just to get a look at one. |
