Not yet, in my opinion. We'd need a lot more BYOND coders.
As I mentioned, the most realistic route I could see would be having enough of a BYOND community that we managed to get a session at some (probably O'Reilly) conference, which could serve as a meeting point for people.
That's the way that smaller communities tend to congregate, and it's a much simpler approach than attempting to run your own thing.
Personally I'd think we're a couple of years from that, at best.
Maybe plan for next year - giving time for the community and the software to mature and grow more - say, spring or summer vacation of 2003?
Or is this something we could pull off for fall school vacation 2002?
