world.Export() on a invalid (nxdomain) hostname sleeps forever

Descriptive Problem Summary:
Running world.Export() on a non-existent hostname will sleep forever, blocking the caller unless they used spawn or set waitfor = false.

Issue presented in our linux test server, but may not be linux only.
