Things are still being ironed out in terms of the final functionality of these guilds, so I can't really say that they'll be replacing the hub...
The idea thus far is that they are intended to be like little sub-communities... They're intended to gather and feature the best games from each of their respective genres, to provide a "Best of BYOND" kind of thing... They also provide a location for BYOND users to gather with others who share their interests (rather than throwing everyone into a single set of forums, it allows people to gather in "rooms" with like-minded users) They're essentially providing what the official channels were attempting to accomplish... (I believe the ultimate goal is to replace the channels with this system, but the final details are still a little fuzzy) As for my rule of declining rips, that is not officially sanctioned (as in, I didn't ask permission to add that rule, nor did any of the administrators hand me that instruction)... I don't think a Pokemon game would go under here unless it's specifically a fan game of the anime. It would go under either RPG or some "Fan Games of Games" guild.

I have to agree with Flame Sage and Cinnom with regard to Pokemon. It started as an RPG, not as an Anime. I wouldn't consider it any less of an RPG than Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy.
It's interesting to find Dragon Quest games in the Anime Guild. They don't belong here, but they do belong in the RPG guild, or even better, a Fan Games Guild. I propose that we further divide the Anime Guild into Dragonball/Naruto/Other for now. Someone get on the telegraph with Dantom. | |

my game started as rip of a source that was abandoned, wouldnt compile. it actually froze my pc. i have completely recoded an remapped it. i got icons from players and on icon trading game and from libraries. my question is what constitutes a rip? i learned all the coding i presently know while improving this game. i have many aspects of game with coding you wont find on any other game and some of my coding is quite good. i have much to earn but i only been coding for 14 months. my game is naruto shinobi warriors and i'd appreciate any input. no insults please.

Well mine is the exact same way. My game started as a rip but now I have permission from the creators and it is now a offspring and it was removed the the anime guild. I've been wondering is there anyway of it being back in the guild, also same as wholeinthesky question, What fall under a rip?

It wasn't removed for being a rip, it was removed because it accepts donations, which is not allowed for fangames on BYOND...
By BYOND policy, no fangames are allowed to take in any money... | |
Oh okay, but if I take that off does that mean my game came be back in the guild? If not I understand completely, but I'm just wonder if I can be or not. Thanks for at least telling my why my game was removed.
