Well I a programmer by heart, and I am working on my pixel art skills.
Here is one my attempt at a base, I have gotten the front and back where I like them, but the sides always kill me!
Which one is better and maybe some help/constructive critism?

It might be me but I think you should shrink the nose a bit. Reminds me of Pinocio(How ever you spell it). Then again you might want the nose to big that big.
