I want to become a pixel artist, I'm sick of finding icons for my projects. I was wondering if you guys have any base tutorials? I haven't seen any while browsing the forums.
But my main problem when I make a base, is after the head, I have no idea how to draw the arms, legs and body etc. Any tips or suggestions? Also shading troubles me quite a bit..

Good links, Maggeh.
If you post some examples of your bases, we can be more specific about help, Broly. |

It should teach some basics on drawing people, which you can apply to drawing bases in pixel art.

alright the way i learned to make a base on my own with a little help from chris's base. Look at his base and i used the byond pixel painting program it has and try to copy it without using copy and paste. just by drawing it by hand.Do it a couple of times and you'll be able to make bases easier.

You'd be surprised how much of learning art (as far as I can tell) is just looking at the ways other people have done it before. |
These links should be of some help.

Afterwards you can look at all the links that were posted by various people in the tutorial section, as well as the couple that TMDI wrote up.
After that, if there's anything specific you need help with, it will be much easier for us to help you.
Also post what you're working on next time, makes it a lot easier to help you if we can see what you've done so far.
Have fun~
