Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

So yeah, when you going to pay me for that base? Or are you going to pretend your AIM broke for the rest of your days?
In response to SSJ_Crono
Bugger off, i'm not using it. Secondly, it my AIM is broken. Finally, i'm not paying you anything after the way you acted, and i'm not using your stuff at any rate so there shouldn't even be this discrepency.

1. Don't let this go into a flame war, fellas. I suggest you end it here and pick it up somewhere else.
2. My two cents on your argument: if you agreed to pay Chrono for a base, Demon, and he delivered a usable base, you owe him some pay, whether you use it or not. Since you're a pixel artist too, ask yourself how you would want it to go down if you were in his position.

As for the sprite, here it is as broken into directions and made into GIFs:

You've got what I would call a four-frame-boogie goin' on here:

The arms are good (for this size of sprite) if you flip the movement. IOW, in the human walk cycle the arm opposite to the leg that is moving forward goes to the front. So, if the left leg is moving forward and taking the next step, then his right arm will move forward. Right leg forward = left arm forward. The way you've drawn it has the left leg being picked up (so visually (to me) it looks like the one moving forward) and the left arm moving forward as well. Flip these and they'll be in sync.

The head bob is the right idea that's executed only halfway: you're right in that the body has to appear to go lower on the widest part of the stride (when the feet are farthest apart), but it can't just be the head. Move the whole body (except for the legs) down a pixel in those frames (not just the head). Keep the feet where they are, tho; lose that pixel into the legs or (less preferably) the waist.

The side view should show the neck (Gunnerblast had a point on that direction of the sprite). And pick up the foot that moves forward in that frame. You're also not changing the swing of the arms (mentioned above) at all in the side views. Swing those arms opposite to the legs (don't just flip the hands).

It's got potential as a walk cycle, tho. Is there a reason you're not using the full 32 pixel height?

I'll work on it, however when i use all 32 pixels it gets really ugly. Plus, i'm kinda partial to smaller icons.

In your response to your, you should pay him thing, it depends what perspective you're looking at it from. For example: professional seamstresses will often get calls from the A-list celebrities to make a dress for such 'n such ocasion, however alot of the time they WILL be canceled on and not recieve pay at all, even though they may have boughten the fabric and started. Moraley? I feel no obligation for someone who went off on me for and non-work related topic. Objectively? Well, i feel that paying him the 20 dollar commision for the base is entirely unfair because the price was that high because of the magnitude of the project and since he wasn't forced to sit through that the price is entirely bogus. Personally, i'm paying my other staff memebers right now so i'm not worried about losing them so i don't care what he does to me or my reputation.

Could you at least send it back to me, cause I think I lost it....
