I'm sure more than a few people around here are aware of this, I just wanted to let people know of the Dunning-Kruger Effect. There are more than a few members of these forums who are a practical incarnation of it.

Amusingly enough, someone brought this up as a criticism towards some people in the same thread where they themselves were falling prey to it. I feel like I butchered that sentence but it's late and I can't think of a better way to phrase it.
