Well..After careful review..I have decided...The top 3 most hated online games are in this order.
1. Neopets
2. Runescape
3. World of Warcraft
But as we hate/defend these games, lets review on what makes a game hated.
* Popularity:
Popularity plays a HUGE part in making an online game hated..it seems that it is always hated on by people who play something similar and are offended by it..for example "Diablo sucks warcrafts better" or the reverse.
*Age Appropriateness
Some games are intended for children of a certain age group but really all are accepted to play..So why are people so offended when someone of 20+ years of age plays a game that, while fun, also has a large player base of teenagers. Who knows?
*General A-Holiness(C)
People will be a-holes..whether its based on what they do or do not know..People like this will always believe they are right.
In retrospect..We shouldn't all hate on people for playing an online game if we are playing one ourselves..because for every guy on warcraft saying neopets sucks..theres a guy on neopets saying warcraft sucks..and for every guy on neopets who says that..theres a guy on runescape saying they both suck..and for every one of them..Theres a guy on BYOND talking about how stupid the 3 of them are acting.

I know it's awfully amusing when people post offensive comments about Runescape and WoW on member blogs when they spend most of their time in BYOND games which are, by comparison... a bit crap. =(
