Evening. I have a friend of mine who lives in Italy, who since the 20th has been unable to connect to the BYOND Hub via the pager, leaving her unable to connect to games. Access to the BYOND website, however, is unaffected.

We were diagnosing the issue for several hours yesterday. We've done reboots, uninstalling and reinstalling both branches of BYOND, clearing the cache, resetting the router, resetting the wi-fi card on the PC, and even switching from a dynamic IP to a static IP.

These all failed.

We, as a last resort, then set up a VPN where she could route her traffic through the UK. This was successful, though obviously this is not ideal due to the slower speeds and limited free bandwidth per month.

This seems to suggest this issue is a region-isolated incident and hoping that staff can investigate and see if the HUB is correctly handling requests from Italy.
1) Not HUB, just hub.
2) There's no reason for this to happen, so it must be a problem with their ISP. It needs to be reported to them.

Okay. I'll ask her to do so - can you provide us with some additional info that we can pass to the ISP to resolve it? I'd imagine the IPs/Domains the hub uses, for a start.

Connecting the VPN to a Germany IP gives the same error.

hub.byond.com is the hub's subdomain.
