After rigorous testing, we were able to make this work. There were two data leaks; one for when players log out while the game is saving and another one every time a player used to join a server containing a backup save file with a higher version.

Prodigy also added an ugly button that you can press for the game to safely log out players. Note that this is a temporary fix so players can keep enjoying the game.
