Save files from previous versions, due to new changes to races and so on, will be incompatible with new versions. Complete your wipes before you update.
Complex details:
Races are being moved to a typing, where your "base stats" are lifted from that type.
Ki is moved around/shuffled.
Gate progression changed somewhat.
Probably more, and then some with more races changes coming. Just note it.
