Alrighty..Well..For a while I thought I was gonna get a ps3..then I thought I was gonna get a wii..when I had the money..I ended up buying a PC..because as I can see..All systems have too many faults..and everyone seems to prefer one system over the other...It would all be better if they all had the same games..and unified into one system..but sadly..that cant be..because one has to remain supreme..So now..This is what I think of the newly released systems.

PS3: Upside: Performance Downside: Cost
Xbox360: Upside: Online or "Live" mode Downside: Not as hefty but still pretty high controller and system cost.
Wii Downside: Performance, (Also some games may seem too..kiddish) Upside: Gameplay

And I always hear the same arguments..it seems like nobodys arguing about games like they should be..they're all arguing about SYSTEMS. "The wii focuses too much on its controllers and has crappy games" or "The PS3 costs too much and has no games at all" and "All the xbox has is online..in a year it wont even be noticeable"..while everyone has their own argument..Any true gamer will tell you its all about the games that are to be released and have already been released that make the system..not the CPU output or if you can move the controller like its real.
Kiddish psh, a lot of new companies are joining to make wii games, its not gamecube. A majority of the games released were all somewhat violent.

Most people think the games are kiddish because they think of the wii. And hell, Wii (with its control system) will probably have a load of shooter games that take use of the controls more efficiently, and most shooter games aren't "kiddish".
(Also some games may seem too..kiddish)

That makes me ignore your post comlpetely.
One reason why people debate over systems is the fact that some games come out as exclusives for each system. Final Fantasy on the PS2, Mario on the Gamecube, etc.

I wouldn't want to see "all one system for games" because I think that would make the overall quality of games suffer a bit. Why would there be as much of a need to get consumers to buy your product if you have no competition?

As for whether or not something is kiddish...come on. You're staring at a television screen in your house, where the picture reacts to a hunk of plastic that you're holding in your hands. :P A Mature rating means nothing of the maturity of the person playing it, but only certain themes the game has.
